Stripping the thread in a bottom bracket shell is surprisingly easy to do, especially when that thread is Aluminium, or when the person fitting your bottom bracket forgets all about “righty-tighty” and “loosey-lefty” and the fact that bottom brackets aren’t always like that at all. It does NOT mean your frame is ruined though.
We’ve developed a repair method that leaves a frame every bit as strong as the original and with virtually no sign of the repair ever having been done - in other words there’s no heat or machining damage to your paintwork etc.
And we can do this repair on all frames - Aluminium, Titanium, Carbon Fibre as well as Steel & CrMo.
We can even convert your “Italian” bottom bracket thread to “Euro” if you’re that way inclined.
