What people have said about our Repair Stands

I would just like to say that a GripSport work stand is the single best tool I have in my entire workshop, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Ryan Gardiner - Tech Editor Rotorburn.com (MTB website)

GripSport is a small, Victorian company determined to make its mark in cycling. I put their Workshop/Race repair stand through its paces in a shop environment for three weeks and it performed flawlessly. This is a light, portable stand with full workshop quality. The legs remained stable under all loads and the head had a large range of adjustment for 360 degree bike rotation. Also the clamp jaws were infinitely adjustable to accommodate all diameters of tubes from narrow steel up to large girth aluminium. A small tool tray was very handy for tools and small, easy to lose parts. The whole unit is constructed from zinc plated steel and would certainly be durable. This is true value for money.

Hey John,This is Nathan Delboux, ive talked to you a few times over the phone and ive purchased a quick release bike carrier off you guys and most recently the workshop stand… well I just thought Id write you a note since its arrived and Ive used it a fair bit since then. The bike that I have is a DH Santa Cruz V10 and weighs around 20kg, but yes, like the reviews said your stand holds up to it and holds it perfectly. Its so easy to work on the damm thing now… you keep up the good work and youre always gonna be in business, youre seriously the Australian version of Park tools… Good stuff guys you certainly know what your doing here.. cheers
Nathan

Gripsport, Thumbs up!!! I have used a Gripsport stand, and they really are a quality piece of kit - you wont be having trouble with it in a hurry thats for sure. The clamp can be done up as tight or a loose as you like it, so you shouldnt have any troubles with your NRSs thin tubes, but Id clamp it to the seat post, 1) to be sure, and 2) so you can work on the Drivetrain without stuffing up the cable routing. Like I said the stand is great. Jon Weaving who owns and designs all(?) of GripSports products is a great guy and he will definitely stand behind his products and repairs….

If youre looking for a workstand theres Gripsport, which is the only Australian bike stand maker. It’s a very no-BS straight to the point product line, so you either want a portable one, a bench-mounted or a floor-mounted, none of the “ohh?... I wonder how these different legs affect my stand”. I havent checked the prices for Park Tool workstands but Gripsport workstands sell for $400 and since youre dealing directly with the designer/manufacter/dealer you know that if you stuffed it, theyll give you good service. What ever you choose… IMO I say that single lever clamps (like Gripsports) are the best choice versus dial types.

Hey Grip man, hope all is going well, Been meaning to write you for ages but you know how it is, Anyway Ive had my Workshop/Race stand for about a year now, Ive hauled it all over the place, chucked it in and out of the Landrover, used it most every day, even used it for 27 hours straight at the Mont24 last weekend! And really its been great. Im so glad I didnt buy one of the many cheapo, bent tubular frame ones you can get, even the cheap Park ones dont stack up to yours. Obviously the shop quality Park ones are the best, but carry a price tag to go with them too!!!! Keep up the good work fella, wish Id had a buck for every time someone has asked me where I got it from. So, can you send me an updated w/sale pricelist along with the RRPs for them, maybe I can sell a few for you?

High quality, aussie made workstands for a touch over $400 it doesnít get any better than that.

Jon, The gear arrived on Thursday. Thanks. The towbar carrier could carry a tank and will be great and the large b/b adaptor looks great too, cant see any problems there…......hopefully I will take the whole shibang out this weekend. And the repair stand works a treat! No complaints at all. Good job & thanks

We’ve had one of the GripSport repair stands for over 5 years and the clamp mechanism has never let us down.
I’ve seen ‘brand name’ stands fail within a few months though and then found parts have been impossible to get. Strong as. Get one.

Hi Jon, its Greg West here - you did me a great deal on a repair stand and 2 bike DH carrier last week. Just wanted to say thank you and that Im very impressed with both items. Im glad I went with the quick release carrier, it makes life a lot easier. The repair stand is the best I’ve ever used. I keep trying to find things to fix on my bikes so that I can use it again, even if they arent broken. Thanks again, keep up the good work! Cheers
Greg.

Thank you for the prompt delivery of the Workshop/Race Stand that I ordered over the phone on Tuesday 2 February. I build and repair bikes, and this exceptionally well made stand will be put to good use. Kind regards

Hi, Sorry it has been so long, but i have finally attached the pics from the 2009 World Champs Canberra.  I was lucky enough to get into the Santa Cruz Syndicate tent, after Steve Peat won the World Champs. Whilst i was there i noticed that the World Champ team uses world champ quality workshop stands, nothing but Gripsport. Some of the photos are from the Santa Cruz tent after Peaty’s win. You can see everyone celebrating, with your workstands in the background.  Plus a shot of my mate John Power with the winning bike. Regards
